Jonathan David & Melissa Helser are possibly most known for their song ‘No Longer Slaves’ which is a lot of peoples favourite song on the Bethel album ‘We Will Not Be Shaken’ Here the worship leaders and songwriters present their 5th album and 3rd studio album release with Beautiful Surrender, their first studio release with Bethel Music, and its overarching message is a vibrant response to their last release On the Shores. The husband-and-wife duo shared equally in the writing process for this project, and the authenticity of their connection permeates these songs, as lead vocals alternate and harmonies interchange throughout. Accompanying the Helser’s with crafted instrumentation is their band, The Cageless Birds. Through this intentional tapestry of original songs, the Helser’s seek to convey that the further we walk with Jesus, ‘surrender’ becomes a willful response rather than a heavy task.
